A food and beverage business wanted self-service ordering that handled the full checkout, including tax and discounts, without staff having to step in.
Tax and discount rules vary by region and change over time. They had to apply correctly at checkout automatically, and the flow had to work on the hardware customers actually use, not just a demo screen.
We built a Vue front-end with a Spring Boot and Node.js back-end, automating tax and discount calculation, and designed the flow to extend to self-service payment terminals later.
